"We bought our Italian dream house in Sant'Angelo in Pontano, MC in 2022. The house was originally built in the late 19th century, but has continuously been maintained and modernized. Since the acquisition, Mauro Rieti has helped us with two major construction projects. The first was the establishment of two bedrooms and a bathroom in the unused ground floor, and establishment of an indoor staircase in the house. The second project was establishment of an outdoor pool on the land plot. Having Mauro to plan and subsequently manage the construction projects has been a completely invaluable help to us. He has an aesthetic sense and good ideas, which means that everything fits perfectly into the soul of the house and existing architecture with a twist of modern and up-to-date solutions. Based on our experience of having Mauro Rieti to plan and manage construction projects in the area of the Marche, we hereby give our very best recommendations to others to use Mauro."

"Vi købte vores italienske drømme hus i Sant'Angelo in Pontano, MC i 2022.

"We first arrived in Le Marche in 2005 looking for a wreck to restore. We met Mauro and a property developer, who showed us a selection of properties and we soon settled on our choice. The property needed to be demolished and rebuilt. Mauro's design and features captured the originality of the house along with reusing the original beams, stone, bricks, and pantiles where possible. We were impressed with the whole project and particularly the retention of many original features which gave us a traditional Marche farmhouse rebuilt to exacting modern standards including earthquake resistance."

"We found, and bought, our house in le Marche through Mauro Rieti back in 2007 while we were living in Montreal. The house was liveable but needed updating and Mauro arranged and supervised all the work. He renovated the bathrooms, installed central heating and double-glazed windows. Together, we redesigned the area around the swimming pool and, again, Mauro organised and supervised all the work. There were major issues with the roof after the earthquakes in 2016. Mauro rapidly organised the repairs and the standard of work was outstanding. The house is even more beautiful than before. Throughout our association, and I would say, friendship, he has been unfailingly helpful and there for any emergency (eg when the septic tank blocked while we were on holiday there!). We returned to Australia some 5 years ago and our advancing years made us reluctantly take the sad decision to sell the house. Mauro dealt with all the negotiations and documentation on our behalf, since the COVID regulations in Australia made it impossible for us to be there in person. Le Marche is the secret jewel of Italy. It’s rolling countryside, mountains, hilltop villages and beaches are beautiful."

"It has been over 19 years that we have had the pleasure of Mauro Rieti being our Italian Geometra. For us now living in South Africa, it has been a delight whilst he has walked us through the purchase and sale of various properties in Italy. He has been with us side by side throughout the restoration of our lovely farmhouse in Le Marche. Certainly without his tenacity we would have been without electricity to our farmhouse restoration, but he pulled out all the stops and ensured cables were sent across the river from one province to another to secure our power. Mauro put that same tenacity into ensuring the right price and the correct materials were in place for restoration works. Le Marche is his home, and his desire to ensure all his clients feel the same way about the region and their homes is always at the forefront of his mind. His creative and imaginative use of space coupled with his extensive knowledge of traditional Italian materials in our experience makes him unique within the region. Throughout all the years of dealing with Mauro he has represented the purchase and sale of a number of properties for us through Power of Attorney, which has made the whole process as simple as possible, and now being such a distance from Italy we know we have in him a trustworthy, ethical person looking after our property and well being. With thanks to Mauro and his excellent team."

"I have worked for nearly 20 years here in Le Marche as both a real estate agent and property developer. I have found that houses designed by Mauro have the perfect mix of contemporary design and respect for traditional Marche architecture. This has proven to be a winning formula for buyers and sellers, alike. Buyers of finished houses and buyers of restoration projects, with Mauro in the lead, have the terrific pleasure of owning and enjoying very special houses, for years. And, when it comes time to sell, I find that Mauro’s houses sell faster and at higher prices than other houses, for reasons of build quality, finish materials and overall esthetic excellence."

"Our family resides in California and Hawaii so when we began a search in 2006 for a country home in faraway Italy we were blessed and fortunate to find Mauro Rieti in the beautiful Marche region, which had been highly recommended by a close friend with many relatives in the area. Mauro escorted us to multiple properties and we ultimately decided on what had once been a ruined farmhouse (a tree growing out of the living room, etc.!) which he had completely renovated and modernized for a family from the UK some years prior. We had read many nightmare stories about the renovating of old homes in foreign countries so when we decided on some additional improvements, including adding doors, windows and mosquito blinds throughout and many other touches, Mauro skillfully and effortlessly guided us through them all. One of the main creative challenges was to create a true wine cellar in an unfinished limestone cave under the terraced pool area. What Mauro designed and built is completely amazing and our pride and joy... and large enough to conduct fabulous wine tastings with friends each summer as well as housing hundreds of bottles of wine we have purchased from all over Italy. Our children subsequently purchased another home in a nearby rural country area with Mauro’s expert assistance and Mauro recently totally re-designed and re-constructed the entire interior of the home to their delight and satisfaction. We have benefited from Mauro’s support, constant help and his ability to react quickly to any situation that arises, from near or afar, as well as to watch over our property during our lengthy absences. We thank our lucky stars for having found Mauro and our wonderful home in beautiful Marche."

"We first met Mauro in 2013 when he inspected a house for us that was for sale with quite a few permission issues. We must admit that we were very sceptical that Mauro would be able to obtain all the required documents in time but, true to his word, within 3 months we signed the notarial deed for our dream house. Since then, Mauro has taken care of all our major renovations (replacement of the roof, flooring and repairs of the pool) all carried out to a high quality, delivered on time and within budget... and every day we received photographs of the progress of the works. It is very reassuring that for every problem, a reliable solution is only one telephone call away. Now we can fully enjoy the good life in Le Marche. Grazie mille, Mauro."

"It was love at first sight: the moment we set eyes on Casa Ingrid, nestling in its beautiful, wide valley, we knew it was the one. It cast a spell on us, this ancient ruined farmhouse, set perfectly in the most lovely landscape, and we knew immediately that we would feel at home here.
Mauro Rieti explained how he would reconstruct the house to incorporate not just its beautiful stone and wooden beams, but using the best proven engineering to withstand whatever seismic activity Mother Nature may throw at us. And, sure enough, when She had an episode in 2016 the house shrugged it off as though it were nothing more than an irritant. In fact, every house in the area that Mauro had lovingly re-built had withstood the test.
We love our little Marcheggian estate and are extremely happy here, with its friendly people and pretty hilltop towns. Thank you, Mauro!"

"We wanted somewhere quintessentially Italian, but away from the madding crowds and Le Marche fitted the bill perfectly. And so it was that we found Mauro on our very first visit. We didn't purchase the properties he showed us but were so impressed with him and his charming, laid-back, nothing-too- much-trouble approach that we commissioned him to build our home anyway.
He brought fantastic local knowledge of materials, engineering and craftsmen and, remarkably, the process was a pleasure rather than fraught with stress like it can be back home. We were kept up to date with pictures and videos weekly so that we could see exactly where we were – and he kept the project moving along, too.
His attention to detail and understanding of fixtures and fittings delivered the beautiful home that we had dreamt of and you know how many items were on the snagging list? None. Mauro delivered a home with stunning views on a grand, south-facing plot with a lovely big pool, outdoor terrace and lawns."

"We bought our beautiful home in 2015, enjoying its stunning setting and distant views to the lovely Sybilline mountains. There are few places as lovely as the rolling hills of Le Marche.
Mauro Rieti managed the design and rebuilding of this ancient property and incorporated some very clever engineering that has ensured it has withstood whatever nature has thrown at it – be that earth tremors or just good, proper winters! We return to Penna San Giovanni as often as we can to enjoy its lovely setting and the beauty of the landscape. Well done, Mauro, for creating such a lovely home."

"In 2010 we found our dream location with a view over the Sibillini Mountains.
Thanks to Mauro Rieti and his team of skilled builders and craftsmen we are now the proud owners of our very own casa in Le Marche.
Mauro designed and built us a lovely, earthquake-proof house with garden, swimming pool and portico in beautiful surroundings and we couldn't be happier."
Petro and Stynke, The Netherlands
"We bought our house in 2003 as a wreck – nothing much more than a few walls, beams and some very interesting piles of masonry.
So, with the help of Mauro and his team the house was completely demolished and rebuilt using as many of the old stones and tiles as possible. Because this is an earthquake region the new construction was built on a reinforced foundation designed to withstand whatever Mother Nature may throw at us – and it has worked perfectly, which is testament to the engineering and building skills of the team.
We absolutely love Le Marche for its people, its food, the fabulous views and its get-away- from-it- all peace and quiet."
Dennis and Judy, UK
"Our intention was never to build a house, but a home – and Pilotti was the perfect place.
Better still, we had Mauro Rieti, and his wonderful "artigiani" who together crafted a beautiful retreat for us with great care and skill.
They understood that it's not the materials they use so much as the space beneath and below them that are key to the feel of the property. So whilst the stone and ancient beams add delightful details and character it's the space we inhabit that is key – and at Casa Flo we have found our space for life and for living."
Thys, The Netherlands
